Lume love and no more power!

Wow, so it's been abit of a whirlwind since launching Lume everywhere this week, and we are so pleased with everyone's positive responses. It's all abit overwhelming. People seem to completely get where we are coming from with the concept, art and gameplay of the game, and we couldn't be more chuffed. The guys at Rock, Paper Shotgun have given has a lovely review, as well as many others.

At the height of promoting the game yesterday and us beavering away at State of Play towers. We had a power cut across the entire row of studios. Now, I find that quite strange that we make a game about turning the power on, and we are plunged into darkness! It looks set to continue for a few days while the electricity company digs up the road....Now if only there was a simple solution........!

In other news, Lume now has it's own facebook page that you can find here.

  1. Truly amazing. A piece of art!
Bought this via steam yesterday and spent all night playing without guilt. Amazing soundtrack, nice environment and excellent story: this really makes a pretty damn good game.
Cheers from Brazil and hoping for part 2 ASAP.

    Bye!

  2. Very nice game, I love the art direction / technical solution! The only gripe would be the "#9" padlock puzzle which I thought wasn't sufficiently clued in :)

Keep up the great work! :)

  3. Thank you both! All these kind words help bring part 2 closer to reality. That #9 puzzle has flummoxed quite a few people Garaj so you're not alone. Thanks for pointing it out though, we'll make sure we're better puzzle designers with the next one!

  4. Hey :-). I loved the style of the game and I loved several of the puzzles -- I liked how the letters to numbers was a simple introduction, and the solar panel puzzle was leaps and bounds better than any similar puzzle I've seen in other games of the genre, it was very well executed, and very fun.

My only confusion is what the others have echoed, I don't understand how I could have found the answers the cabinet combination puzzle. Maybe I missed something? I thought the clue in the book would lead me in the correct direction, but it definitely didn't. Would love to eventually see a write up by you guys as to what your intention was with that puzzle!
