It's the moment we've all been waiting for. You can now
buy Lume on Steam,
Direct2Drive and
GamersGate.
Steam has a 10% discount for one week only, so get on over and fetch yourself a Lume-shaped bargain while it lasts.
We really would love to hear what you think of it, so let us know any comments here or via
our website.
There will be more posts here very soon, with reviews, interviews, walkthroughs and feedback. In the meantime, happy puzzling!
Looks really beautiful. Can't wait to finally play it now.
ReplyDeleteVery nice and funny little gem. Worth every penny.
ReplyDelete1. I played the Mac version. It dosen't have a real icon, and that looks a bit lame in the dock.
2. There are som fullscreen problems. But other than that very playable.
Lovely little game, perhaps slightly too expensive for its short duration. It took me about an hour and a half to finish, getting stuck on a few occasions. The small size of the game actually prevented it from getting frustrating at those moments, though, since you don't have to worry about clicking trough dozens of area's to look for one tiny thing you may have missed before. You know the solution is always close by, which is nice.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see a Part 2 of Lume in the near future, hopefully a little cheaper than Part 1 (unless its bigger, ofcourse), and perhaps with some more variety in background music. The one track was very nice, but it did get a little repetitive after a while.
Very cute, congratulations on finishing.
ReplyDeleteSome very creative and enjoyable puzzles in here, I liked them a lot (although the combinations for the locks completely eluded me and I used a walkthrough - I still have no idea what they related to...)
Graphics and music were lovely, looking forward to part 2 :)
Will Part 2 be added on top or another purchase on top, the amount of gameplay for the price is rather low even when the graphics and work is awesome
ReplyDeleteThe graphics and gameplay are excellent, but yes, will the next part be available free or as a different purchase?
ReplyDeleteFantastic game. The graphics and game play were a great departure from the norm. The paper-type graphics were refreshing. It's great to see a game out like this that makes you think but isn't brain-wracking.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work!
I notice the game isn't integrated fully into Steam. I had hit Shift + Tab to see a message I had gotten via Steam and a yellow box appeared on the right hand side of the screen. I clicked on it and saw the ending. Kind of disappointing considering I had just gotten into the house.
ReplyDeleteFor the life of me I cannot figure out the puzzle under the sink, any hints? I got the first 2 sets of numbers but the 3rd eludes me I cannot figure out any system or clues to help me solve this.
ReplyDeleteJust finished the game. Thought it was overall a good experience. A couple things bothered me though:
ReplyDelete1. No real fullscreen? (I am playing on a mac) The only "options" you have are windowed mode and then a fullscreen window with the viewing area the same size as windowed mode anyway. I play on a 27" imac at 2560x1440 which made the game window pretty small.
2. The padlock under the sink has a number out of place. 4's don't properly show below 5 when 5 is selected. There is a 2 instead. Here is a screenshot: http://i55.tinypic.com/2a9s492.png
firstly, congrats for finishing the game!!
ReplyDelete-the graphics are simple which makes the game playable in almost any pc.
-the design is very interesting, really unique and uncommon. the main character is very cute and the animations and very simple, easy to notice and without ant bugs. the colors are bright and simple. lovely.
-the gameplay is easy and fun, the puzzles very interesting. make you search and think without making you frustrated.
-the game made me feel there's an environment-friendly message. i really liked that. it really is the best thing i would offer my kids to play.
-the length of the game is VERY short. way too short for its price. i really hope that part2 will come as a DLC under the first edition. i bought it on Steam so im hoping for an update soon...
-the music is nice and cute, but it really started to make me nervous after hearing on loop from the moment i started the game until i finished it. i think that more soundtracks would offer variety. a nice idea would be to make one different soundtrack for every environment.
-i recommended the game to my gf and my friends. it really is a nice game. but as i already mentioned, it is too short for its price. i think everyone will be hoping for part 2 to come for free for those who bought it so far.
really one of the cutest puzzle games I've ever played so far.
We finished the game with my GF yesterday.
ReplyDeleteI feel kinda out of place saying that but... is that all?
I mean. We didn't solve the lock under the sink. There's the arrow pointing to the power connection in the garden outside the house, but we didn't attach anything to it. We just figured out the closet combination, entered, observed the bike dinamo, picked up the binoculars and... the game ends.
I just don't get it. Can somebody explain?
Luckily, it was a discount.
Hi Clem!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you've finished it like that, I think you might have discovered a bug somehow! That isn't the whole game, if you play through again it shouldn't happen and hopefully you can enjoy the whole thing! My guess is you might have v1.0 where there's mistakenly an invisible button you can click bottom right which can end the game prematurely. We fixed that in v1.1 but perhaps Steam haven't updated it yet, we'll double check that now!
Thanks for highlight it to us and hope you can still go back and enjoy the rest of the game.
Luke
Hi Clem, and all those who experienced that bug! The Version is now updated on Steam, so you should see it autoupdate sometime and it won't be a problem.
ReplyDeleteLuke
So pleasing to play & listen to & see. I am patiently waiting for Part II.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nightowlist! Part 2 is being made now and we'll soon be updating this blog with scribbles and photos of how it's coming along. We're really hoping we can get in all sorts of new ideas we couldn't squeeze into the first one - we haven't been so excited about a game in ages. Thanks again for your enthusiasm!

Where is part 2?
ReplyDeletePart 2, called Lumino City, is being made right now and coming soon - check out the trailer here: http://www.stateofplaygames.com/work/lumino-city/
